Material Fabrications

November/December 2102

Material Fabrications showcases Studio artist's experimental work with fabric as an art medium. This show grew out of The Studio's desire to utilize several bins of donated fabric. Artists were encouraged to experiment with fabric as both a two dimensional and sculptural art medium. Guest artist Joan Rosko generously donated her time and materials to teach a fabric sculpture workshop using a special medium called Paverpol. Past Studio teacher and professional artist, Christine Sieverts, shared her expertise in a silk dying workshop for Studio artists. The resulting sculptures and silk paintings will be on display for the duration of this show.
