Thoughts On Being
Raised Working Class

I am with the Department of Vocational Rehabilitation and I am trying to get a job in the community. My concern is that my job trainer, Chad, says there is no money. I used to get paid and now I don’t. The system is broken. I believe that anybody should work if they want to.

Pottery Wheel Workshops Offered at The Studio

Sean Cannady and Ken Waldvogel experiment with throwing using a pottery wheel.  The Studio will now offer pottery wheel workshops every Thursday at 12:30 with Janine. Studio artists interested in learning to throw should wear their art clothes and prepare to get messy.  Thank you to Eric Martin for the use of his wheel.

The Studio Welcomes Two New Teachers Aboard

The Studio is excited to welcome Darren Dunn and Jessica Hinze as two new teachers to our staff.

Originally from Denver, Colorado, Darren has an extensive background in art and music and has played, recorded and toured with several bands. Darren began working with artists with disabilities at Neighborhood Center of the Arts in Grass Valley, California, where he served as an art instructor.  Jessica is a recent graduate of Humboldt State with a degree in Studio Art and Art Education.  Jessica has experience teaching art to students with a wide variety of ages and abilities.  Welcome aboard Darren and Jessica!
