Studio Artists Take Part in Community Supported Art

Several Studio artists submitted artwork to the Arcata Arts Institute second annual Community Supported Art program, also known as CSA. The program works as follows: buyers purchase a box of artwork, included in the box are an assortment of twenty pieces of original artwork or fine prints made by local artists. Proceeds from the sale go to support the CSA and a small stipend is awarded to each individual artist for their contribution of art. Benefits of the program include: support for the creation of new artwork, establishing relationships with local art collectors and patrons, participation in an exciting new model of art support and distribution, and promotion of local artists in the community. The Studio is proud to be a part of this exciting new program. Dawn Wentworth contributed the piece below to the CSA.
